Jun 04, 2026"Excellent restaurant serving traditional Oaxacan food. Known for their use of different & preparations of corn. I had a classic memelita with queso de Chiapas (kinda funky & good strong flavor) as well as a quesadilla with pork fat & epazote. Both delicious. Cash only. Recommended!"

Portions are small and affordable enough to try lots of things and share with the people you're with. You can absolutely tell a difference with the quality and freshness of the tortillas."

May 14, 2026"We got tacos with tinga, and mushroom filling — the tortillas made in-house on the hot comal are exceptional. The accompanied salsas are very good, esp the salsa verde — I could taste the fresh chili, tomatillo and cilantro. The pozole verde is pretty simple and straight forward; I added the salsa verde to it and it came alive! We came late around 3 (closed @ 4pm) so the place was empty and seemed desolate and sad, however once the food came out we understand why it earns a nod from the Michelin recommended list. Totally worth the 25-min walk from central Oaxaca."

The outdoor space is lovely but the seat by the open kitchen gives you a close view of the making process which is very cool. I enjoyed their specialty tetelas and the Oaxaca specialty memelitas. Also try their cacao drinks!"

Mar 15, 2026"It's a bit far away from downtown but it's worth a walk or a short taxi trip. They have nice memelitas, tetelas and tostadas. All cooked in the traditional way. Prices are above average. Drinks are quite expensive (beer and sodas)"
